Glossybox August First Impressions & Exclusive Offer

After enjoying last month's Glossybox review so much, I'm back with August's to see how it plays out again - and I'm excited. Yay! This month I've only had a little chance to try one or two of the items, not all of them and certainly not thoroughly. So I thought today I'd share my first thoughts and impressions with you guys.

So let's see how August shapes up, eh?

My very, very first thought when unboxing was - YES, better than last month already. For two reasons, skincare and makeup. I really love that they added the MUA palette as I think MUA are a pretty good brand considering how cheap they are. I have two of their palettes already and I know I'll probably like this one too. Considering there are a lot on nudes in here, it's probably going to be great for day to day casual looks.

I am a huge fan of skincare (you guys know that by now, surely!), and trying new things so it was wonderful to see the Cowshed invigorating body lotion. I think the scent smells quite fresh and after applying this a few times to my arms and legs, I thought it seemed really softening and brightened my skin a little. But using it more and more will give me a better idea if this will make it to my 'all time faves' pile.

I then spied that there was a Mudmasky Facial Detox Purifying Recovery Mask included, and I was pretty damn thrilled. There's nothing that makes me feel better than a good pamper night with a long bath, book, and face mask. I haven't given this one a go yet, but the typical retail price is £60 for 60ml, so we can consider this 20ml small tube worth £20 which is really good. I'll be keen to give this one a go!

Also included in this month's Glossy was the Spa To You Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Brush and Massager - YAS QUEEEEEN. I have only used this once so far but oh my gosh, I love it! I'm a sucker for anything that says it'll help my pores anyway, but once I gave this a whirl, my skin felt super soft, clean and totally polished. I'm still obsessing over my pores (some things never change) but I can see this brush becoming a staple to my skincare routine for sure.

The only part of this month's Glossybox I was disappointed in was the makeup pouch, which is just because I have no use for it really. I have so many already, and I'm not a fan of the 'canvas-y' feel, so I'll probably give this away.

Overall I was so happy with this month's box though, and I definitely think this was more 'me' than last month. Glossybox currently have an awesome offer on too! YAY for offers. For any new subscribers, they are offering a free gift with every August box, worth over £20 on top of their August box. It's quite a bargain, so get ordering now! You can get yours here.

Let me know your thoughts on this months box, and what YOU would like to see in next month's?
