Quiet Sundays

Sundays are great days for relaxing, taking stock of the week and preparing for the next one; even if you work from home and have no real concept of the days (like me). It's something that will likely always feel that way for me, since Sunday was always chilled out day at home growing up.

So these days even though I'm still probably working on a Sunday (okay let's be honest, definitely still working), its the day when I'm most likely to finish a little earlier, or make time for a relaxing bubble bath that evening. It's the day where I'm more likely to stay in my pjs' and have movies playing in the background. I really enjoy these days, everything just feels a little quieter.

This week has felt really creative for me, in a range of ways. I've collaborated with some small businesses on design work, I've experimented with some makeup looks (which I'll feature on here soon!) and I've made sure to make time to paint for myself, not just for customers. In fact, I painted these two (below) a few nights ago, and I'm quite pleased with them. I'm not sure what I'll use them for yet, but I think I want to do a whole range of character paintings like these, for a collection.

I have also received some awesome things in the post lately, like the Innocent Bones Cross Stitch Kit* (with special Girl Gang design!) which is amazing. I have never ever done any cross stitching before, and I'm so keen to try! I haven't had a chance to start this yet because I've been so busy organising The Girl Gang event, but I'll definitely keep you guys updated when I do!

And the gorgeous Katie was SUCH a babe and sent me the cutest snail mail ever! When she went to Disneyland a few weeks ago, I asked her to pick me up this gorgeous Dory Tsum tsum (and paid her, obv!) and she decided to sent me a gorgeous little package along with it. She wrote me the cutest letter, sent along gorgeous Purrmaid stickers (you know that nw rage from Paperchase?! Amazing!) and popped in the prettiest washi tapes ever, because she knows I'm obsessed. Katie is such a sweetheart and I can't wait to meet her in just over one week at the event, eek!

I also finished The Cursed Child this week and I have to say I don't understand why some people slated it, because I thought it was PERFECT. I fell for Scorpius' character, I was thrilled by the time travel, and I thought it brought a whole new level to the whole HP storyline which I really appreciated. Definitely a winner from me.

Looking forward to next week, for me it's just gonna be a crazy blur of organisation to be honest. I'm absolutely terrified the event will go wrong, or I'll look/sound like an idiot and everyone will hate me. You know, the usual worries? Haha.

I am also planning a whole new look for myself over the next few weeks though, and I'm pretty excited about it. I'm still keeping my colourful hair, but it will change slightly. I'm really into embracing Autumn each year so I'm looking forward to putting my own spin on an Autumnal look.

Anyway guys, I've rambled enough; wouldn't you agree?
I hope you all had the best weekend ever, and I'm sending good vibes your way for this next week to come :)

Bye!
