Party Style With Simply Be

It's creeping closer and closer to the end of the year, and that inevitable 'party season' where we all get a bit more glammed up and glitzy.

I myself don't particularly do parties; but there are lots of family plans, special blog events, romantic meals and drinks out with the other half, and seeing friends for a cocktail or two after work. With Autumn and Winter just around the corner; I love to embrace darker colours, add a little glitter where I can and look my best in outfits that are appropriate for all these types of events.

Keeping this in mind, Simply Be recently got in touch with me and asked if I'd like to try anything from their amazing selection of partywear, and I browsed their website for what seemed like hours, trying to decide on what awesome piece I would choose.

Cute Clothing & Accessories From SammyDress

I recently got super excited when browsing the Sammydress website, as I'd found a whole bunch of adorable clothes that I instantly fell in love with.

It's not usually so easy to find things I love. Shops online either don't offer a plus size range, they only do ugly clothes, they have prices I can't afford, or they don't offer a range of styles. It's really hard to find cute clothing that suits me. I can see maxi dresses and bodycons for days... but no adorable skater dresses that fit in with my cute/casua/kawaii/dressing younger than I really am - sort of style that I aim for.

Until recently that is! I was super happy with the awesome range from Sammydress, where they sell a huge range of wholesale clothes for everyone.

Go-To Accessories

I have a soft spot for accessories. They can make or break an outfit, and they can add a little magic to anything you're wearing. My weakness is for bags especially; I collect them like I do stickers. I want big, 'hold everything you'll ever need on this trip' sorta bags, I like cute, diddy little clutches, I like colourful ones that scream at you, I love strange textures, styles and I like an assortment of lengths.

I'd say I'm the same with shoes, but it's a little different. I still have a weakness for them and you better believe my collection is taking over the place; however I'm slightly fussy with one thing. COMFORT. I just cannot and will not give up comfort for style. I've done that in the past. For years I bought the beautiful heels that made me bleed and ruined nights out. I've bought the 'one of a kind' wedges that go with every outfit and claim to be a comfier alternative to heels (fucking liars), only to be left with red feet and blisters.

Confidence & Clothing

I'm in the process of a transformation this year. I'm making a lot of life changes and it's really shaping who I am and how I present myself to the world. All positively I hope, of course. But it's scary and hard and daunting and... just plain old boring from the outside I imagine.

Some of the hardest challenges I've set myself include becoming a healthier, fitter person. I hope to drop quite a few dress sizes, and really love my body again; but it's such a hard thing to do. Then my next challenge is to try grow my confidence, and do outfit posts. Eventually getting to the point where I hopefully do unique, exciting, quirky outfit posts that really show off who I am. But again, this shit is not easy.

Spring Handbag Wishlist

Spring is officially here, according to Google anyway; though I'm yet to see any real sunshine or daisies. However I've got myself all excited for refreshing my wardrobe a little, especially as it's my birthday in just over 3 weeks, and I just might get the opportunity to ask for something special.

I've been wondering about indulging in a brand new bag the past few weeks, and I was browsing the House of Fraser website looking at satchel bags, when I found the above.

There was one DKNY black bag I simply loved and couldn't not put on my wishlist, but the rest as you can see are colourful and perfect for Spring. I'm naturally drawn to the baby pinks more than anything though! From top to bottom, left to right, they are: Coccinelle Neutral Medium Satchel Bag, Ralph Lauren Tate Blue Satchel Bag, DKNY Chelsea light pink small satchel, DKNY coated logo black satchel, Coccinella Mel yellow satchel bag, Coccinelle  Arlettis light pink satchel bag. I think my favourite is probably the third one; the pink DKNY Chelsea bag - look how adorable it is!

Do you guys have a wishlist for the new season?
