Unless you've been hiding under a rock recently, you'll have heard all about Zoe Sugg's new beauty range which was released in the last few days. As a fan of 'Zoella' myself, I thought I would indulge my curiosity and try out the product that most appealed to me. The Fizz bar seems the most interesting item available; shaped like a chocolate bar and able to break off into handy chunks as & when you like.
The first thing I did when I opened this was have a little smell. The best thing about a lovely bath product is having something with a gorgeous scent, am I right? The Fizz Bar is sweet, a little floral but very light and pleasant. I think scent is such a personal thing, and you aren't going to please everyone every time. Personally floral scents are my favourite, I'm definitely more of a fan of light and sweet rather than stronger woody/spicy perfumes, so the Fizz Bar caters perfectly to me. You might want to have a smell of the body mist Zoella has also released, as I have heard this is the same sort of scent. So then you can decide if you like it before you buy the Fizz Bar.
Once popped in the bath, the little chunks began fizzing away and sent my bathtub into a little bubbly lather. Not like a bubble bath I might add, just little poppets of fizz bursting under the water. It left the water with what I can only describe as a silky touch, and heavenly scent. My skin felt really smooth and soft afterwards, and I have quite sensitive skin so I'm impressed it didn't cause a reaction.
Overall I think the Fizz Bar is a wonderful new addition to my relaxing bath routine. I'm fairly pleased with it and wouldn't mind recommending you guys to try it. Even if it's just for the sheer fun and satisfaction of tearing off a chunk or two and watching it fizz away! It's not mind blowing or so amazing that I'm going to buy it all the time, but I will happily pop it in with my shopping every now and again as a treat. You can't moan that her whole range isn't affordable, as everything is reasonably priced in my opinion. Which I think it should be since she has such a young target audience mostly. And this definitely feels more luxurious than the price tag would suggest.
Will you be trying any of the Zoella Beauty range?
The one thing I wanted was the fizz bar! I need to order one asap :-)

I think the novelty of the shape and the ability to break chunks off is what makes this bar what it is.
ReplyDeleteI have watched Zoella for a couple years but don't think I'll b trying her range as I can't see it being cruelty free!
Nice review!
xo
Apparently it is cruelty free!
DeleteYay! Thanks for letting us know Suzanne! I felt a bit sick then when I thought about it.. xx
DeleteNice to see an honest review of this. Seen so many raving about it as if it's the best thing since sliced bread! Will have a sniff next time I'm in superdrug thohgh :)
ReplyDeleteX
Nahhh definitely not, but it's not bad! I'm happy I got it definitely, its always worth a try :) xx
DeleteI have already gotten the body mist at the weekend and I love it. I would get the fizz bar but I don't have a bath :(
ReplyDeletePams Stuff and Things
Aww! Try the shower gel instead hehe :D xx
DeleteWell, uh, I don't know if this might cause the brains of some bloggers to melt, but I don't really know who Zoella is! I've heard of her, and so I heard that she was releasing a range, but other than that... Nope. Still, I think this is really cute! It's quite a pretty concept that it breaks off into chunks, I haven't seen many nice bath products lately. I doubt this will be available where I live and it won't be a huge loss to me, but otherwise it'd definitely be something that'd catch my eye.

Aww that's a shame you can't try it! Nevermind. Haha don't worry I'm sure lots of bloggers haven't heard of her, it's just she's one of the really big ones these days I guess. xx
DeleteI'm not a huge Zoella fan or anything, in fact, I think I've only read one or two of her posts; however it's hard not to notice the hype around her new beauty range and seriously, fair play to her! Of all the products, I think the Fizz Bar appeals to me most, (along with the guinea pig makeup bag but that's cause I'm a massive piggy lover ha) but unfortunately I don't have a bath in my current apartment, (nightmare, I know) and also I can't get my hands on them over here. Lovely review though :) xxx
ReplyDeleteKirsty - Effortlessly Excessive.
I feel exactly the same Kirsty, fair play to her! She's done great and anyone in her position would do the same if they had the chance. I think they're some nice products, but not world changing. Happy to try one or two though, and I'm not left disappointed :) xx
DeleteThis is also the one thing that stood out for me most in Zoella's beauty range and now i am definitely going to get my hands on it since i think I will love the scent x
ReplyDeleteBeauty with charm
Yep! Definitely have a sniff about first, because everyone likes different scents! I really like this so I'm happy but as I say sniff the body mist to see how you feel about it first :) xx
DeleteI liked the look of the body lotion (don't have a bath so bubble baths and bath bombs aren't much use to me!), but I found it strange that the scent wasn't described on the superdrug website, so thank you for describing it! I assume they all smell similar anyway.

You're welcome, and thanks so much for reading and commenting! xx
DeleteI have the fizz bar on order and can finally try it for myself soon! :)

It's almost like a bath bomb in bar shape! I don't have many baths but it does sound very nice. Going to wait for all the reviews of the products before I buy some stuff in case it's just all hype! x

Couldn't argue with such a good idea haha! :D I love a bath every now and again so Im always trying out new products hehe :) xx
DeleteI can not wait to try these, I agree with you I'm more of a light and floral scent girl, and the chocolate bar shape does look great (accompanied by a real bath time chocolate bar me thinks..)
ReplyDeleteHaha great idea Tash!! ^__^
DeleteI love the sound of the Fizz bar and light, floral scents are right up my street! Also, the packaging looks so cute - I can't wait to try this out!

ReplyDeleteVintage Melissa x x
Let me know if you try it and what you think! :) xx
DeleteI wasn't massively excited about the range but I love the concept of this!
ReplyDeleteI have bought this and cant wait to try it out, i love a bath bomb and for me I hate using a whole one from Lush for the same price as this, which would do up to 8 baths. xxx
ReplyDeletewww.labeau.co.uk
I know right?! See what you think and if you like it, it might save some pennies! Just keep the Lush ones as a special treat? :) xx
DeleteI struggle finding bath products that don't react badly to my skin and make it itchy! This is a fantastic review! Thank you so much!

You're so welcome Ffion! Thank you for reading! ^__^ Im exactly the same honestly especially with my legs - they are so sensitive and lots of things make them come out all red and rashy! This one simply them them soft and silky though! xx
DeleteThis was my favourite thing out of Zoella's new beauty line. I really want to try it but haven't seen it in store yet. x

DeleteGreat review! I've nominated you for the One Lovely Blog Award- check my blog for details http://spreepark.blogspot.com.au/2014/10/one-lovely-blog-award.html xx
ReplyDeleteAww thank you Erin! xx
DeleteThis is a great review, thanks for posting it! I love light floral fragrances and the body spray was the main thing I wanted from her range, so will definitely give it and this a try! What a great little product if it moisturises skin while also making your bath fizzy - I would buy it just for that haha!

I know I really didn't expect that! It's so hard to explain but it leaves such a silky finish which I was really impressed with! xx
DeleteSuch a lovely product and how cute are the little Zs xx
ReplyDeletelauraslittleloves
I'm not really a huge fan of bath fizzes but this one looks so cool! I love how you can break it off into little chunks to make it last longer. Not sure that i'm going to run out and get it anytime soon, but I have got the soak opera, body lotion and body mist to try out yay!
ReplyDeleteGreat post :)

Lots of lovely things for you to try there!! I might give those a go soon too! The idea of breaking this off just appealed to me so much ^__^ xx
DeleteThat's probably the best attitude to have with this range! Dont expect wonders, and you will probably like it enough! haha :) xx
ReplyDeleteI am in Ireland and I don't think Zoella's products are here yet. :( I have been reading whatever reviews I could fine. I am absolutely buzzing about her products. Can't wait hahaha. http://fishnetsxd.blogspot.ie
ReplyDeleteAhh I have had my eye on these for quite some time!! Do you just use them on their own or with bubble bath as well?
ReplyDeletewww.jennieemma,co.uk xxxx
First off I just want to say how stunning your photos are! Now, I have to admit I was sceptical of this range. I mean, you hear of reality stars and such adding their name to anything and well you start to tar people with the same brush. However I'm starting to think this range really has been done with care. I loved your write up of the fizz bar, and I think I'm going to have to see for myself now :) x
ReplyDeleteHeroine In Heels
How do u order the fizz bar need to know
ReplyDeleteI couldn't decide whether to get this or not as I didn't know if it would be one of those cheap products that a brand slaps their name on to. But reading your review I might have to try it out!! Thank you!!
