Lovely Blog Award

So today I was tagged and nominated for this award from two gorgeous girls. Amy from Von Dork and Jessica from The Pyreflies - I highly recommend you check these two out! I would easily nominate them back, but that seems pointless doesn't it? Haha.

The rules of the award:
1. Thank the person nominating you and link back to them in your post
2. Share seven things about yourself
3. Nominate fifteen or so bloggers you admire
4. Contact your chosen bloggers to let them know

Seven Things About Me:
1. I really wish my name was Luna, or Willow.
2. I have Trypophobia. Google it if you need to, everything that shows up on images basically makes me sick or cry.
3. I had a cat called Jake, who was the cutest little furball ever. But he ran away/went missing about 6 months ago. I'm still holding out hope he'll turn up one day.
4. I want unicorn and mermaid tattoos. (And many more..) Soon.
5. My favourite film of all time is Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. Closely followed by The Little Mermaid.
6. I used to go Horse riding every week for years, but haven't since I was around 15. But I have never stopped loving it and would love my own horse one day. Amazing creatures!
7. I have a terrible addiction to fizzy drinks.

Nominations: (I'm only nominating 7 people!)
1. Claire
2. Laura
3. Hazel
4. Danielle
5. Kelly
6. Brenda

They all have lovely blogs, and are super lovely people! So it seems appropriate :)

My Relationship With My Palette

If you're anything like me, over time you develop a relationship with your palettes whether you mean to or not. Certain shades come and go, and others are soul mates from the moment you meet.

This is my interpretation of this with a pinch of fun, hope you enjoy ;)

1. The Ex You Keep Going Back To. You want to try something new, but you just.. can't.

2. The Friend Zone. This one is so lovely. It brightens you up when you need it. But that's about it.

3. The One That You Know Would Suit Your Friend More. Oops.

4. The One Your Mum Wants You To Have. It's nice enough, but.. ehh.

5. The Romantic. It sweeps you off your feet every time. It's pretty sweet.

6. The One Night Stand. You think it's a good idea at the time, it never is. You always regret it the morning after.

7. The One You Forget. There's always one that is alright enough, but easily forgettable as time goes on.

8. The One That Got Away. It's perfect! Why did it not work out?!

9. The Soul Mate. The one you know is gonna be great day or night, and you can always rely on.

10. The Party Animal. Great for a night out and to get you in the mood.

11. The Distant Friend. Nice every once in a while, but not your bestie.

12. The Sexy One. The one that always makes you feel good, but isn't necessarily great all the time.

I used MUA's 'Hall Of Fame' palette for this example, but I know you all have your own you can relate to ^__^

I hope you enjoyed this post, please leave me a comment below and let me know!

Tag! You're it.

This tag was made by Jessica at Pretty Chit Chat.
I was tagged by Sarah at Diary of a Beauty Padawan.
I tag anyone who wants to do this! It's rare I tag specific people in case they've done it before, or just don't fancy it. So I'll leave it open to everyone :)
This tag is based around the idea of choosing one single product as your favourite for each category,
enjoy! :)
1. Foundation - Estee Lauder Doublewear
How could I not choose this? I've only recently (finally!) purchased it and it's beyond a dream. It simply doesn't shift! I love knowing that it will last all throughout the day without needing a touch up, because frankly I am lazy :) I must say, the Bareminerals Bareskin is such a close second though..
2. Powder - Avon Calming Effects
As much as I flit about between different powders all the time, I always come back to this one. It's so soft and gives a gorgeous matte look, without overpowering.
3. Concealer - Loreal Lumi Magique
Even though this is described as a highlighter, I do actually use this as my concealer. It isn't too bright, but gives great coverage to problem areas such as my under eye circles. And the design is pretty perfect for getting under and around the eyes.
4. Blush - Bareminerals 'The Secrets Out'
Ahh this was hard! I reaallly love my NARS Outlaw so much, but the Bareminerals one is just perfect for everyday use. They are both great to be fair, but that's what I'd go for if I simply had to pick one.
5. Bronzer - MAC Bronzing Powder in 'Refined Golden'
I have to be honest here though, I very rarely use Bronzer. I've chosen this because it's what I'd choose on the rare occasion that I do use it. You probably think I'm mad, haha.
6. Highlighter - Benefit Highbeam AND MAC Mineralize Lightscapade
I have sooo many Highlighters I love that I had to choose two! I'm sorry, I know I'm cheating but oh well. There are so many others I almost picked, this was hard enough haha.
7. Mascara - Barry M Lash Modelling Mascara
I like this, so I've chose it. I like a few mascaras, but I can't say there's one I LOVE to be honest. This is because my eyelashes always look TINY anyway, unless I wear false ones. So I'm not too fussed with mascara really.
8. Eyeshadow - The W7 In The Nude Palette
This is a recent purchase for me and I adore it! Definitely a dupe for the Naked 3, but at a fraction of the price. It gives me everything I need and I'd happily choose this as my one and only.

9. Brows - Three Custom Color Specialists Brow Powder
I got this in my very first beauty box from Wantables a couple of months ago, and I love it. I do switch between this and a variety of pencils, but if I had to choose it'd be this baby! It's soft, natural looking (no Scouse brows here..) and matches my hair great now that I've lightened it a little.

10. Lip Product - GOSH Lipstick in Sweetheart 161
Only one?! AHHH. This was the hardest question by far. I love so many for such different reasons! But okay, if I was forced I suppose I would choose something I could wear everyday and feel good in. And that would be this one. A good product overall. I do really like it but I wouldn't say it WOWS me. But it's versatile so there we go.

And that's it for my Top Ten! I realise I was total crap at this tag haha. Sorry.
Feel free to do this yourself, and let me know what your choices would be!

LUSH Lovelies!

The lovely Mandy from One Slice of Lemon sent me this beautiful Lush package and I was thrilled to receive it this week!

It came beautifully wrapped in a bright knotted scarf and contained Ocean Salt face & body scrub, Rockstar Soap, a catalogue of all amazing Lush products teasing me for more, and a brilliant 'Fighting Animal Testing' badge which I will proudly wear.

I am so thrilled to receive this and can't wait to try out Rockstar. I have already tried out the Ocean Salt face and body scrub and it is just fabulous! It gave my skin such a deep clean and left it feeling so soft afterwards. It really is a strong scrub so maybe be careful if using this on sensitive skin, but my skin is sensitive and it was more than fine.

Have you tried any Lush products lately?

Bath Time!

Okay not really. But I did find some little treasures last week which I've been wanting to show you guys, simply because of the cuteness!

How awesome is this pink bathtub for all your toiletries?! Maybe it's just me but I thought it was adorable and had to have it. I found this with a bunch of the toiletries I know and love in Wilkinson's, and I was so surprised. I didn't realise some of the great things they do there, but I'll definitely be giving them another little visit.

My favourites of the bunch though was from the 'Kiss' range which is exclusive to Wilko's. I seen a whole bunch of products in this range, and decided to try the Cleansing Face Foam and the Smoothing Face Primer; both only £4 each.

The Cleansing Face Foam is infused with Apricot Oil and Baobab Oil to help moisturise and soften the skin and I found it really dd this even after just one use. I love trying a foam as I usually stick to Cleansing waters, and this was a nice change. It really felt like I got to wash away the day's grime on my face (eww). A good product for £4.

The Face Primer apparently uses Silica spheres to diffuse light and help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also contains antioxidants and oils to help condition and soften the skin. This baby is my new favourite bargain primer. Seriously good! I'll be 100% honest I was in need of a primer and the packaging drew me in here, I love anything pretty and pink.
I didn't even give it much thought as I applied it across my skin before applying my makeup. That is, until my fingers and face turned into the softest, buttery skin ever. I literally stopped what I was doing (watching Youtube vids..) and went to look in the mirror as I applied it. It felt like a DREAM on my skin, and I only needed a small amount for my whole face. It left it feeling so silky soft I couldn't help but ask my boyfriend Gary to touch my face (Lol). I was also really impressed with how well this helped smooth out my pores, especially on my nose which is my problem area.

The only thing I can't comment on is if it helped my makeup stay in place. And truthfully that's because I've began wearing Estee Lauder Double Wear and it's amazing at staying in place anyway. But being as this product is only £4, I feel no trouble in advising you all to go try it immediately!

I'm going to try lots of other beauties from the Kiss range as soon as possible!
Have you tried anything from this range?

Autumn Makeup

With those sunny days becoming fewer and further between, it's time to start considering your Autumn makeup. If you are anything like me, you'll be excited at the chance to reach for those plum lipsticks, perfecting those smokey eyes and darker nails. Not that you have to of course, if you want bright yellow nails, sweet pink lips and flowers in your hair then go for it! But personally I love changing my makeup with the seasons, as it gives me a chance to experiment and pushes me to use makeup products I might otherwise overlook.

My hair and makeup will represent a cosy, warm evening by the fire with a book (in my head). I want soft, natural hair framing my face, dark eyes and a lipstick that gives a sultry look. Not much to ask for is it?

My recent love more than anything is plum lips. I feel so relieved that it suits me and I love how it looks day or night. I've been using MUA lipstick in Shade 2, which you can read about here.

Will you be trying a different makeup look for Autumn/Winter?
