15 Inspiring Blog Posts Recently

For the past two weeks I've really made extra special time to delve into blogging. By that I don't mean writing my own posts (of course there's that too), but by reading lots of wonderful posts from others. I have gone through all my bookmarked blogs, and tried to keep up to date with all of my favourites (though this is extremely hard as there really is a lot!) and I've also tried to find new blogs through Twitter and Bloglovin too. Finding new blogs is especially awesome, as it keeps my feed fresh and makes sure I always have that real LOVE for blogs and blogging in general.

With this in mind, I tried to keep a note of all my favourite posts I've seen bobbing around this vast internet space recently, and report back to you guys. These are my 15 favourite blog posts which have inspired me lately, and I hope they inspire you too!

Perhaps you'll find a spark of motivation in one of these posts, perhaps one will make you giggle at your desk as you pretend to work, and perhaps you'll find your favourite new blogger of all time. I certainly hope so.

Enjoy!

My Favourite Movie Of All Time

NO SPOILERS.

You know how sometimes in life you find something that so deeply affects you, pierces your very soul, astounds you or changes you in some way? I experienced that back in 2006, a year or two after Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind came out. I hadn't even heard of this film at this point. It was my second year at college, and as part of my Art and Design foundation degree, we had one day each week where we would watch a movie.

Sounds fun eh? It was, mostly. They were all movies chosen to inspire us, that deeply questioned issues our tutors wanted us to represent in our work, or arty ones that were slightly 'off kilter' in some way. I think this was a great idea, and found some truly inspired moments through those Friday morning movie sessions.

Staying Motivated Every Day

Working from home has a ton of benefits, obviously. But I found when I first bit the bullet almost a year ago, I didn't realise at first just how much I was going to have to really motivate myself every day. I mean, I'm generally quite an ambitious and driven person anyway, but having to ensure I'm doing work every single day and making enough money is extremely hard. Even for me!

So through trial and error I have found some things that work for me, and I feel I've only gotten better and better. I thought I'd share some of these tips today, as they could definitely benefit anyway who needs to motivate themselves to do something. This can apply to anything really; studying, blogging, starting a small business.

March Summary

March monthly summary

The end of March is here, which means my birthday is mere MINUTES away now. Okay maybe not minutes... 16 days more like. But who's counting, right?! Anyway, I hope the month has been kind to you guys, and you're all ready to head into April with determination and positive thoughts.

GOALS:

A new month always brings new motivation and new goals for me, do any of you lovely readers feel like that too? It's that feeling of a fresh start, the same as starting a brand new blank notebook, or buying a new calender at the start of the year and filling it in with all your plans. It's a great feeling; it's possibility, and it's the best.

For April, my personal goals/aims/plans will be to finally determine proper 'days off' for myself, to keep up with regular yoga and exercise, start a bullet journal to keep me on track, and to start saving more money, to just help get my finances a little better.

10 Things That Inspire Me

January is a time when most of us find ourselves more motivated, determined and inspired than ever. There's something about a new year, a new calender, a blank page that seems so appealing and refreshing. It's wonderful to have a reminder that we are in charge of our own life, and we can damn well do with it what we please.

This year, I hope to be even more creative than last year. Don't get me wrong, I feel like a super creative person anyway. But I would like to explore new hobbies/activities that I've never tried before too. With this in mind, I thought I'd share with you guys a list of things that always inspire me. Because we can never have too much inspiration, right?

Some of these things are quite random, but they never fail to light a fire inside me so I've included them anyway.

Why Failing Can Be Good

desk notebook
If you've visited this blog often enough, I guess even just once or twice; you should already know by now that I talk a lot about inspiration, goals and success. Whether it's my own, or someone else's, this is a place I hope to motivate you guys and keep things positive.

However I recently got thinking about what drives me and keeps me motivated, and I was quite surprised to summarise that it's actually my failures that push me forward. Hmm. Sure, winning an award and getting praise, or achieving a goal in some way is absolutely awesome; but I think the danger there is letting yourself get a little stuck. I mean, getting the thumbs up for something will make you feel good, but it might also subconsciously make you think you don't have to do anything extra. Does that make sense?

Rekindling My True Blogging Self

magazine desk pen stationery

Yesterday, I posted what I'd call a 'chattier' post on here and it was probably the best feeling I've had when hitting publish in a long time. I know of course, writing about my recent blog awards was absolutely amazing; but that was more the experience that was so fantastic. It was so damn great to recount everything that happened, and the amazing memories of the day; but it's not a 'normal' day to day blog post by any means. I realised recently that's what I've missed; normal, chatty, 'life lately' blog posts.

I love absolutely everything this blog is, the whole combination of themes, and the various things I like to post about. I'm not saying I've been bored at all, I've been very inspired for a long time actually. The problem is I was putting all my inspiration into my Etsy store, or designs for people. I wasn't saving any for myself and this blog the way I should have been. I didn't even realise to be honest. I started this blog because I love to write, and one of my favourite things in the whole world is just pouring my heart and soul out without planning what I'll write.

Picture me sitting on my bed, cushions all around me, in the dark, fairy lights on, around 2am listening to The Pixies, Bon Iver, Taking Back Sunday or whatever other emo/indie playlist I have playing. Picture me sitting in the dark with the moonlight shining in; typing away on this laptop. That's my heaven. That's it. Whether it was in a diary at age 11, or here at my laptop age 27; quietly writing and emptying my mind is where I need to be. It's the greatest joy I get out of blogging, and I've been forgetting to invest into that time lately.

I can actually name a bunch of blog posts I've written at times like this; where I have no worries or distractions. When it's in the dead of night, and I'm at my most inspired. These blog posts are probably my most treasured, whether they've been popular or not. Some of my favourite have been; 'Quiet Moments', 'Looking Back', 'How Blogging Changed Everything', 'Learning To Time Travel', 'Three Things' and 'The Farewell Tour'.

These are the posts I blog for. These are the reason Dorkface exists. These are the written words I will savour years later, and want to hold and protect and keep forever. These are the ones that matter most.

So yes; I just wanted to say I'm reminding myself to just simply write more often, without a plan. You guys can probably expect me to be chattier, talking about day to day life, whatever I'm up to or whatever may be on my mind. I hope you wont see this as random, but rather a huge, important part of what Dorkface is.

My true blogging self is coming back.

Autumn Style Inspiration

If you were to ask me my favourite type of fashion at any point in the year, I would always say anything Autumnal. So boots, scarves, hats, big chunky jumpers... all that good stuff! In fact, even though I have a Pinterest board for everything Autumnal, I actually pin Autumn fashion all year round anyway, because I love it so much.

Motivational Monday

Let's stop wishing away our days; they are already numbered. There is no way of telling how long each of us has left, before we drop of the face of the earth. Every single damn second we breathe and interact and think and smile and try is the most important thing in the world. Let's stop wishing away Mondays, or whatever day it is you hate most. That's a WHOLE DAY of your life, every single week. We are tiny, insignificant beings in this vast and mysterious universe;but we also only get this one fleeting life.

Breathe.
Take in the beauty that is in the world, the kindness that is out there.
Remind yourself that there is nobody else out there like you, which makes you important. This makes you one of a kind. Accept that life passes us by whether we like it or not; so we might as well enjoy the little time we have. Do something to show kindness today. Do something that makes you happy. Do something to remind yourself you are alive.

There are things we can't control in this world, and things that will always happen that are tragic, annoying, and heartbreaking. But you can control your attitude. You can control your ambition and your love for life and your ability to make others smile. You can do so much good.

Try to take something good from every single day, even the hardest ones. Be known for being someone who spreads joy. Be kind to yourself and know that it will be okay.

I think sometimes we all just need a little reminder to close our eyes, take a deep breathe, and take in the amazing fact that we are alive.

Inspiration Moodboard: KAPOW

Inspiration Moodboards? Yeah, they're my thing.

inspiration moodboard colourful tumblr

This is my first inspiration moodboard I've done in absolutely ages, and I'm so happy I got the chance this week. Making these allows me to let some creativity out in a simple way, even when I'm too tired to draw or pick or a paintbrush. It also inspires me for other projects, and provides an endless source of motivation and ideas.

This one is a visual representation of everything I'm feelin' lately. Bold colours, clashing prints, cheesy/kawaii styles. Almost 90's in a way, 'comic-y'. I feel like it's very Tumblr. I love it.

I'm going to be start printing all my moodboards and hanging them up around my desk, for ultimate inspiration bursts. I'll probably share some photos when I eventually get around to this.

So what do you guys think?
And what's been inspiring you lately?

An Interview With Tara

1. Introduce yourself and your blog?
Hey! I’m Tara but I go by name Catstello online. My personal blog is Cattitude & Co and I’m a co-founder of feminist lifestyle blog Zusterschap. You can find a lot of life lessons, feminism driven posts, personal experiences and amazing female bloggers on both blogs <3

2. Who/what are your inspirations?
I’m a big believer in trusting your struggles so I find a lot of inspiration from personal experience, as cheesy as that sounds. Women make me stronger and inspire me daily, whether it’s my favourite female bloggers, celebrities or inspiring stories I read online.

3. What would you like to inspire in others?
One of the main reasons Katherine and I started Zusterschap was to give women who want to challenge social norms a voice. I would love to inspire others out there to reject or challenge things that make women feel bad about themselves. Challenging beauty standards is a big theme over at Zusterschap because if you think about it, they’re all made up anyway. There’s more than one way to be beautiful.

4. What are your favourite type of blog posts to read?
There’s so much great content out there but my favourites to read would be personal experiences, feminist rants or posts that aim to inspire people. I really enjoyed my friend Jacky’s #MayMakers series.

5. Proudest moment so far?
Aside from going viral and inspiring hundreds of women to embrace their bodies, my proudest moment happened last month. I conquered a life long fear of public speaking at Young Feminist London’s event YFL Presents. I had to speak into a mic and everything! It was really scary but it felt so good after to say “I finally did it!”.

6. If you could be known for one thing, what would it be?
That’s a great question. I guess I would like to be known for being an inspiring feminist and making a change. One can dream right? I would like to think I’m currently known for helping women feel more positively about themselves.

7. How would you like your blog to develop?
I would love for Zusterschap to become a household name!

8. Do you have any life goals?
My current life goals are to find full-time work and maintain a positive mental attitude 24/7. It’s hard but I think I’m the right track. Last year my anxiety was at an all time high and just last month I kicked anxiety’s butt and spoke on stage to an audience!

9. Have you changed in anyway since you began blogging?
Yes definitely. Blogging has done wonders for my confidence and I would go as far as saying it saved me from depression. It’s given me a sense of purpose, helped me maintain my anxiety, impressed employers and I’ve made some amazing friends.

10. Tell us 3 random things about yourself?
1. I have no sense of smell.
2. Bad boyfriends made me a feminist
3. I’m also a vegetarian.

Thanks so much to Tara for letting me grill her, you are such a positive inspiration to me. I hope I can inspire others one day like you do me. xx

Be Your Own Hero

Every day our lives are saturated by outside sources of inspiration, motivation and influence; which is a fantastic and beautiful thing. I feel a tremendous amount of gratitude for how easy it is to Google something when I need inspiration or ideas. When I'm working in my art journal it's almost natural for me to look up Pinterest inspiration boards, when I need blog post ideas there's about a thousand ways I can find them within seconds, and when I want to try a new makeup look, well, there's a whole industry out there to influence me.

Inspiration is wonderful when it happens, but the writer must develop an approach for the rest of the time. ~ Leonard Bernstein

This past month has seen me create more artwork, write more poetry, and take more photographs than I have in a long time. I have felt inspired and motivated, ready to take on so many different projects and goals. While you may think this is because I have opened up shop, started selling artwork and generally taking requests; it is actually the other way around. It is because of my inspiration that I have done these things. I seem to have tapped into a tiny, wonderful part of my brain responsible for giving me the drive I need. And while it almost certainly will not last forever, it is wonderful to have it for the time being.

So, how did I come by this? What am I doing? Perhaps I have a super fucking awesome Pinterest board which I'll link you all to now? Okay I do have awesome Pinterest boards, but no. The answer is much simpler, yet harder I'm afraid.

I decided what I wanted to do, and I did it.

I know, life changing stuff huh? I'm pretty sure you've heard that before, but it's okay, stick with me. I didn't watch some amazing inspiration speech, I didn't read a book that changed my outlook, I didn't have some 'Aha!' moment while in the shower. I simply woke one morning and found that I weren't completely happy with the day ahead. I knew that it wasn't going to be The Best Day Ever; and knowing that kind of scared me. I'm not saying I was unhappy, just to be clear. I have the great pleasure of living with and sharing my life with a man who makes me feel deliriously filled with joy, I have friends who I love and a lot to be thankful for. But I still knew it wasn't going to be particularly awesome that day, it would be 'normal'.

I got thinking about normal, and what we accept as habit and day to day expectations. I wondered if I'd look back at my life in fifty years and regret this moment I'm living in right now. Maybe I'll regret little things; not wearing my best clothes everyday, that make me feel awesome and colourful. Maybe I'll regret bigger things like not travelling more and seeing the world. I was wondering what I would regret for each particular day actually, and one day I decided to stop wondering. I knew I had to let my heart make some more of my daily decisions, that way maybe I wouldn't go as wrong and steer my life in a different direction.

So I wrote down what I wanted to do that day. I'm a To-Do list kinda girl at heart.
I wanted to cuddle Gary and laugh.
I wanted to do something creative.
I wanted to call my mum, and maybe check in with friends.

Nothing monumental happened that day; I started a small painting to pass some time, and it felt great. I believe Gary and I watched The Office (again), and laughed as we held hands and laid into each other. And I know I called my mum, and started a Snapchat war with a friend. All in all, a pretty basic day.

I went to bed very happy.
So when the next day came, I wrote down my list of things again. Not things that needed to be done, but things that I wanted from the day, and I've done it each day since.
Small changes have happened because of this tiny new way of approaching each day; I did not write a blog post when I didn't feel like it, I changed my hair again and I filled up my art journal a little more. Big changes have happened around here too. I quit my full time job that I liked, and took up a part time one somewhere, so that I have the time and freedom to pursue something I love. I began taking professional approaches to things I wanted to do for my career. I gained two official clients. I have painted and drawn people for pleasure, and also sometimes for money as well; which, when you think about it, is pretty powerful. There are people willing to pay me to do something that keeps me up at 3am because I can't bear to not be doing it.

I feel a little scared, and extremely hopeful.
I feel alive and a little more positive.
I feel in control too, which is hilarious because that's just asking for trouble, right?

But all in all, I feel like fifty years from now I might not have as many regrets. I might actually make some pretty brilliant choices now. I might end up doing okay. I can't say for sure, but I can say I'm less worried about it.

I'm still gonna read all the blog posts I can get my hands on about finding inspiration, and I'm gonna pin away anything that brings me motivation too.

But mostly, I'm going to stop looking for the world to bring something to me on a plate. I'm going to close my eyes, and let my mind see everything I need to see.

I'm going to be my own hero in this story.
Who will be the hero of your story?

April Interview: Georgina

I'm lucky enough that I remember the very first moment I was struck with the sudden inspiration to start a blog; I was visiting She Might Be Loved. SMBL is a blog written and created by the beautiful Georgina, and she had captivated me instantly with her creativity and quick wit. Today I have the unbelievable pleasure of featuring her for my April interview, and I couldn't be more grateful. I got to have a good old nosey into her life and ask the questions that most interested me!...

1. Why/how did you come up with 'She Might Be Loved'?
It's not a happy story but I guess it is now. I was quite down and pessimistic when I first starting my blog and had a dark sense of humour, I loved Maroon 5 and 'She Will Be Loved' but I obviously couldn't use that, so I let my pessimistic sarcastic attitude change it. I find it strange looking bad, as I was such an unhappy person and I hated my life, but now I'm happier than ever, feeling incredibly loved and I don't think life could get much better.

2. Who or what inspires you most?
It'd odd for me because despite my Mum, who I look up to and adore, I often find inspiration from everywhere. I don't look up to a set amount of people or things, I just look at the World around me and just keep going. I love people who are easily inspired, but I often find that as soon as I start to look up to another person, they'll do something that I don't agree with. It sounds weird, but I'd rather take the positive things from a lot of different people, then have to change my views every now and again to keep following the one who may do something I don't like from time to time.

Spring Inspiration

Spring has sprung! I'm rather excited for the typical British Spring at the moment; the pastels, the flowers, the rain... It's inevitable really isn't it? Why not embrace it I say! I'm feeling really inspired by everything Spring themed at the moment and while none of it is particularly new or revolutionary, it's definitely making me want to try new things for over the next few months.

I'm loving cute dungarees and denim shorts so much, I definitely want to work them into my daily outfits at some point. I'm never one to bare my legs but maybe I'll get brave this year? Especially teamed with cute tees and accessories, as shown above. I'm feelin' it! I also want to experiment with my style overall to be honest; playing about and trying new things for my hair (the style, not colour! lol), makeup and accessories. For too long I've let my insecurities dictate what I'll wear, and I'd like this to change. I'd like to actually wear the styles that represent me best!

Other than fashion and beauty, you can expect Spring to inspire my artwork - bringing in a lot more pastels and 'girlier' pieces, I think. And maybe over the next few months I'll finally do a tour/snippets post of our home :) We want to wait until it's all done nicely first. I have already started bringing in pastels and Spring inspired homeware though; yay!

I realise this post is a bit chatty and unorganised, I hope you guys enjoy that. I just wanted to share my excitement for this new season, and how it's motivating me lately.
Are you excited for any changes this Spring?

February Interview 2#

I had the incredible good luck of being able to interview Michelle from Creature Type; a Style, Illustration and Fashion blog. I've been a fan of Michelle's blog for a long time, and her work is incredible. I feel very grateful she took the time to speak to me, so I'd love if you all went and visited her.

Enjoy!

1. Could you introduce yourself a little to my readers? :)
I'm Michelle Volansky, an illustrator and graphic designer from St. Louis, Missouri. I work daily as a production designer at a culinary magazine, do freelance illustration and design work, and sell my handmade goods at craft fairs at on Etsy. My style is very feminine and colorful and I love playing with textures and pattern.

2. How did you get into Graphic Design and Illustration?
I've been an artsy kid my whole life, always enjoying drawing most of all. My first dreams in life were to teach art or be an animator, but during high school and college I realized that I most enjoyed working on still images and became more interested in illustration. Graphic design and illustration just went hand-in-hand for me and I thought design would be a practical, lucrative skill.

3. As an Artist/Designer; what inspires you?
I'm inspired by other creative people, fashion, interior design, patterns, color, and pop culture.

4. Could you name one of your heroes?
I'm not sure about heroes, but some of my favorite artists who inspire me to try harder every day are Mary Blair, Alphonse Mucha, and Glen Keane. :)

5. You have a fantastic sense of style, does it come naturally or do you really make an effort?
Thankfully, my style has always come naturally to me. It's never been something I've obsessed over. I think if you just draw a lot, your style will materialize organically.

6. If myself or one of my readers wanted a custom illustration from you, are you open to that?
Definitely! I do lots of work for people who want portraits of themselves, pet, and/or family and illustrations for blog headers and other design elements. I do currently have a waiting list, but if you're interested pricing or snagging a spot on the list, you can always email me at creaturetype(@)gmail.com.

7. What is a typical day like for you?
On a typical weekday, I go to my design job at the magazine until around 4pm. After work, I always try to have dinner with my boyfriend and try to get some other work done--illustration work for clients and myself, any freelance design work I might be working on... close to craft show time I'll be busy working on sewing, printing, and jewelry making.

8. Do you have any advice for people wanting to work in a creative industry?
My biggest advice for any creative person is that if you want your art to be more than a hobby, you've gotta be ready to HUSTLE. Life doesn't get easier after school and you have to be a self-motivated go-getter or else nothing will happen for you. This is the area of my life/personality I work on the most. I could always be working harder, longer, and smarter! :)

9. Through the internet and blogging, people's lives can sometimes seem beyond perfect. Is there anything you struggle with which perhaps people wouldn't realise?
Haha, well, people probably I assume I'm more professionally successful than I feel I am. I know I'm always looking at other bloggers thinking "Wow, how does this person make enough money on their work/blog/shop to survive full-time?" My ultimate goal is full-time freelance so I get really jealous of those people, but I often later realize that they don't actually support themselves. Sometimes they work day jobs or multiple part-time jobs they don't ever talk about on social media. Many times they're supported by spouses or parents. This can be a relief but also really disappointing. I think like, "If they can't make it, how will I ever?"
I just try to remember how lucky I am to be able to do so many different creative things and support myself with art & design skills, even if they aren't 100% on my terms. I'm very privileged to even get to do that and I have an attainable goal to work towards.

10. Can you name your proudest moment?
I like to think my proudest moment is yet to come, but my proudest in recent memory was Strange Folk Festival 2014. I was asked to design the promo illustration for the event, so I got to see it used on websites, printed promo materials, t-shirts, and even a billboard(!!!). I collaborated with other people and made patterns for fabric, nail stickers, and tote bags. I worked so hard to make awesome things for an event I love participating in and shattered my sales goal. It felt so great!

February Interview 1: Meet Amy

If you caught last month's interview with the lovely Megan, you'll know I'm finding different people every month that inspire me, and convincing them to answer some of my questions. I really do feel amazingly lucky that each request so far has been met with a YES! :) In fact, for February I have TWO interviews for you guys! How awesome is that?

First up the fantastic Amy whose blog I have followed for around 4/5 months and fell in love with. She truly inspires my own Art in ways I could never express without sounding lame - I really hope you guys visit her here, and show her all your love. I managed to grab her for a few questions...

1. Could you introduce yourself a little to my readers?
:) Hi!! I'm Amy and I'm currently in my first year at university studying Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern design. I blog over at www.thecreativeoutlook.co.uk

2. How did you get into blogging?
I started "fashion" blogging in 2012 after finding out about Lookbook (does anyone even use that anymore?) but I soon deleted that because it wasn't for me really. I then began a lifestyle blog in 2013 which I sort of stopped in August 2014 and changed it into what I have right now... I think art blogging is definitely what I'm most comfortable with.

3. As an Artist; what inspires you?
I love Alexander McQueen's work (before his death) because of his stories behind the clothes and performances. They always meant something and he really thought about his concept. Movies by Wes Anderson inspire me because he thinks about everything; the colours, the sounds, the little details you’d probably ignore anyway. Caitlin's blog (bollykecks.tumblr.com) has inspired me a lot this year, especially with my journals because she's so out there and arty. There's so many artists/designers I follow on Instagram as well! Ahhh too much to choose from.

4. Could you name one of your heroes? (Whether a personal or professional one)
I have no idea, hmmm I guess I don't really have one.

5. You have fantastic talent, does it come naturally or do you really struggle to get the results you want?
(Thankyou!) and without sounding too sure of myself I think it comes naturally for me. If it isn't looking or working out how I imagined it then I just do whatever I can to make it work in my favour. I suppose being in art school means that it's all experimental anyway so I don't have anything to lose when trying stuff out. I also don't share everything so if I do think it's completely rubbish then nobody will see it anyway.

6. Is there a particular piece of your own work which is your favourite?
Noooo I have no favourites, I think I end up disliking everything I do after a while!

7. What is a typical day like for you?
Well, I'm at uni 4 days a week and that consists of workshops, lectures, lots of drawing, gallery visits, making compositions and having crits. On the days that I'm off I either have a lie in or go food shopping. Being a student means I don't really have much money to spend on fun things...

8. Could you give any advice for people wanting to be more creative?
Just paint, draw, write, take pictures or do whatever you feel like doing! Don't give up and don't consistently compare yourself to everyone else because it's pointless and won't help you. Everybody is different and not everyone will like what you create.

9. Where would you like to be in ten years?
By then I'll be about 30 so hopefully i'll be selling some of my work somehow... maybe handling my own business or working freelance. It'd be great if I kept my blog up for that long as well!

10. Can you name your proudest moment?
Getting onto my course at uni. It's one of the best courses for what I'm doing and I felt so happy that I'd actually been given a place. I found the interview process really stressful but thankfully it was all worth it in the end!

*Hope you guys enjoyed Amy's interview!

Digital Collage

If you've visited here for a while now, you'll already know I love making Art in many different forms; including my Inspiration Boards. I've been working on this the past few days, and I love it so much! It's a collection of drawings, textures and colours that have been inspiring me lately - none of the images are mine. I just like to make pretty arrangements of various things and find they inspire me even more. I'd love to print a series of these to hang on my wall..

I actually used this to influence my new blog layout, and I found it so helpful.

What do you guys think? I hope I'm getting better at these. You can check out more of my inspiration mood boards here and let me know! :]

Inspiration Moodboard 4#

Fourth in the installment and definitely my favourite so far! I'm calling it 'Fairytale Grunge' and I think that's a good way to describe my style in most ways. I really, really love this one.

Cute collars / lazy days / coffee / glitter / Winter makeup / over-sized everything / sketchy illustrations / collages / watercolours / berry tones /

Just some of the things inspiring me lately.

You guys have surprised me with the amount of love for the previous inspiration posts, which is awesome! I love putting them together because it creates a nice collection of images for me to keep handy too. I think I'll keep doing these but I can't guarantee how often they'll be. After all I can never guarantee I'll be inspired...

What's inspiring you lately? Please let me know in a comment! :]

Inspiration MoodBoard 2#

Everything that has been inspiring me the past week.
I've been pinning away plenty of home/decorating ideas because of the excitement to move into a new place :) So some of that is kinda showing here. I'm loving pastel colours, twinkly lights, and delicate textures. I'm hoping to create some Artwork to reflect this, as soon as I can.

What's been inspiring you lately?
