Today I wanted to share one of my latest collages with you guys. They're something I've shown on this blog many times before, although it's been a while. This one is basically a visual representation of everything inspiring me lately, and everything I want my blog to be. Colourful, edgy, girly, unique, and slightly off kilter.
Images are from artwork that inspires me, my own drawings/doodles/magazines and Pinterest.

Inspiration Moodboards? Yeah, they're my thing.
This is my first inspiration moodboard I've done in absolutely ages, and I'm so happy I got the chance this week. Making these allows me to let some creativity out in a simple way, even when I'm too tired to draw or pick or a paintbrush. It also inspires me for other projects, and provides an endless source of motivation and ideas.
This one is a visual representation of everything I'm feelin' lately. Bold colours, clashing prints, cheesy/kawaii styles. Almost 90's in a way, 'comic-y'. I feel like it's very Tumblr. I love it.
I'm going to be start printing all my moodboards and hanging them up around my desk, for ultimate inspiration bursts. I'll probably share some photos when I eventually get around to this.

If you've visited here for a while now, you'll already know I love making Art in many different forms; including my Inspiration Boards. I've been working on this the past few days, and I love it so much! It's a collection of drawings, textures and colours that have been inspiring me lately - none of the images are mine. I just like to make pretty arrangements of various things and find they inspire me even more. I'd love to print a series of these to hang on my wall..
I actually used this to influence my new blog layout, and I found it so helpful.

Basically every magazine.
Bit of an angsty one this week. Just a little snarl at the media really. Nothing new or provocative here but something that always bothers me, and I wanted my own visual representation of it included in my journal, and on my blog.
Remember - Even the model in the photograph doesn't look like the model in the photograph. Wear makeup if you want to. Don't if you don't. Your sexuality is yours. Be proud of who you are and love yourself as much as (if not more) than you would anyone else.

Something a little different in my art journal this week. I found I was using one or two pages as inspiration for other projects; collecting images, writing notes, making doodles - without really trying to create anything in itself. And I found that I quite liked the outcome anyway. So I'm just sharing some snippets of those pages this week, and I may do again in the future. Sometimes recording the things that inspire you as well as the product of it, can be interesting.
