15 Inspiring Blog Posts Recently

For the past two weeks I've really made extra special time to delve into blogging. By that I don't mean writing my own posts (of course there's that too), but by reading lots of wonderful posts from others. I have gone through all my bookmarked blogs, and tried to keep up to date with all of my favourites (though this is extremely hard as there really is a lot!) and I've also tried to find new blogs through Twitter and Bloglovin too. Finding new blogs is especially awesome, as it keeps my feed fresh and makes sure I always have that real LOVE for blogs and blogging in general.

With this in mind, I tried to keep a note of all my favourite posts I've seen bobbing around this vast internet space recently, and report back to you guys. These are my 15 favourite blog posts which have inspired me lately, and I hope they inspire you too!

Perhaps you'll find a spark of motivation in one of these posts, perhaps one will make you giggle at your desk as you pretend to work, and perhaps you'll find your favourite new blogger of all time. I certainly hope so.

Enjoy!

My Favourite Movie Of All Time

NO SPOILERS.

You know how sometimes in life you find something that so deeply affects you, pierces your very soul, astounds you or changes you in some way? I experienced that back in 2006, a year or two after Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind came out. I hadn't even heard of this film at this point. It was my second year at college, and as part of my Art and Design foundation degree, we had one day each week where we would watch a movie.

Sounds fun eh? It was, mostly. They were all movies chosen to inspire us, that deeply questioned issues our tutors wanted us to represent in our work, or arty ones that were slightly 'off kilter' in some way. I think this was a great idea, and found some truly inspired moments through those Friday morning movie sessions.

Staying Motivated Every Day

Working from home has a ton of benefits, obviously. But I found when I first bit the bullet almost a year ago, I didn't realise at first just how much I was going to have to really motivate myself every day. I mean, I'm generally quite an ambitious and driven person anyway, but having to ensure I'm doing work every single day and making enough money is extremely hard. Even for me!

So through trial and error I have found some things that work for me, and I feel I've only gotten better and better. I thought I'd share some of these tips today, as they could definitely benefit anyway who needs to motivate themselves to do something. This can apply to anything really; studying, blogging, starting a small business.

March Summary

March monthly summary

The end of March is here, which means my birthday is mere MINUTES away now. Okay maybe not minutes... 16 days more like. But who's counting, right?! Anyway, I hope the month has been kind to you guys, and you're all ready to head into April with determination and positive thoughts.

GOALS:

A new month always brings new motivation and new goals for me, do any of you lovely readers feel like that too? It's that feeling of a fresh start, the same as starting a brand new blank notebook, or buying a new calender at the start of the year and filling it in with all your plans. It's a great feeling; it's possibility, and it's the best.

For April, my personal goals/aims/plans will be to finally determine proper 'days off' for myself, to keep up with regular yoga and exercise, start a bullet journal to keep me on track, and to start saving more money, to just help get my finances a little better.

10 Things That Inspire Me

January is a time when most of us find ourselves more motivated, determined and inspired than ever. There's something about a new year, a new calender, a blank page that seems so appealing and refreshing. It's wonderful to have a reminder that we are in charge of our own life, and we can damn well do with it what we please.

This year, I hope to be even more creative than last year. Don't get me wrong, I feel like a super creative person anyway. But I would like to explore new hobbies/activities that I've never tried before too. With this in mind, I thought I'd share with you guys a list of things that always inspire me. Because we can never have too much inspiration, right?

Some of these things are quite random, but they never fail to light a fire inside me so I've included them anyway.
