I think it's about time I give a little update on my newest beauty additions; and I think I'm going to indulge in this sort of post each month! Yay. I mean, I'm trying to cut down on the amount of products I have in all my collection, but admittedly that does seem impossible. There are always new things to try and things which tempt me quicker than you can say CHECKOUT, haha. But what better excuse for a blog post?!
The past month I've been trying out the Pure Skincare range*, which has been awesome. Is it just me who gets SUPER excited about trying out a whole new range of products? I love testing them all out together, separately and in depth; to really see how they work and get to know them a little more. Can we count this as a hobby? I'm counting it as a hobby...
From left to right we have;
PURE Regenerate & Boost Eye Serum,
PURE Hydrate & Renew Face Oil,
PURE Regulate & Clear Face Oil,
PURE Clean & Glow Cleansing Oil,
PURE Refresh & Revive Face Spritz.
The Pure range is a capsule collection of regenerating aromatherapy based face and body products, with multi-tasking benefits, made in the UK. The plant oils work in harmony with the skin to essentially understands how to absorb them. The range is vegan friendly and not tested on animals.
And this is the point where some of you might be thinking, wow, a lot. But don't be intimidated if you aren't used to having a whole skincare routine other than washing with water. That's fine too! But the great thing about Pure Skincare is that you can listen to your skin, and really target what's needed with the perfect product.
I found my favourite products were the eye serum, regulate and clear face oil and the refresh and revive face spritz. These were my holy-moly-I-love-these-products life savers throughout July. With the weather getting warm and clammy, I found that each of these really kept me moisturised without the oily feeling I worried I'd get. My skin felt soft, supple and really looked after. I have been experimenting with eye serums for ages too! I hadn't found one before now that I truly loved, and I really wanted to because I have this fear of not looking after my eyes and getting eye wrinkles early, haha. So thank you Pure skincare!
Other products I'm now obsessed with are the Olverum Bath oil, a bargain beauty blender I got off Ebay (yes really!) and more amazing additions to my Real Techniques brush collection.
A few years ago, I was in a car accident that really messed up my back. I've had so much physiotherapy and tested out countless meds, but unfortunately it still causes me great pain. Whether I'm standing still for too long, or working hard all day at my desk; each can cause me absolute agony. This means finding ways to unwind and help ease the pain are a big deal to me. Trying out the Olverum Bath Oil* for the past month has meant I get to dip myself into a little luxury whenever I feel I really need to. This aromatic bath oil is SO luxurious and just a few drops added to each bath really helped me. The combination of hot water and aromatic oils worked together to ease the tension in my body, and also smelled amazing too! A bottle of 125ml is supposed to last for 25 baths, and I'm going to be using them wisely. A luxury product worth every penny.
My beauty tools have also been updated; with a fantastic new beauty blender from Ebay that I consider just as good as any pricey one (I love using it for concealer and highlighter!), and two new Real Techniques brushes. I was kindly sent the Expert Face Brush and Stippling Brush* from MakeupBrushes.co.uk - a fab site that stocks loads of great brands like Real Techniques, Barry M, Japonesque and more. I do love the idea of a one stop shop for all my brush needs/obsession.
The Expert face brush is AMAZING, it's everything I want in a foundation brush. I love my foundation brushes to really pack on the product, for a full coverage look; and this definitely delivers. Soft, versatile and works with my makeup really well. Such a winner!
The Stippling brush is the one that surprised me. It works really well, and I'll be honest; I didn't expect it to! As I mentioned, I like a heavy brush that jam packs the product on, and I didn't think I'd warm too much to this one. However, I found that the Stippling brush was SO good at applying a feathery/natural (but you know, still gorgeous!) look. The range of bristle types and lengths helped give a great airbrush effect, yay!
Even better yet, the site currently has 20% off all brushes, so now is the perfect time to get 'em!
So to sum up, my skin is looking and feeling better than ever, I'm having the most luxurious baths I've ever had, and my tools of the trade are all being updated nicely. Woohoo! (Said Sabrina style.)
