Sunday Catch Up & New Makeup Look

Another Sunday has crept up on us, and that means I get the chance to kick back and share with you guys my tales of the week, woo!

It's officially FOUR DAYS until #GGEvent which means I am in full panic mode, checking over goody bags, checking raffle prizes, making notes on all the brands involved so I can thank them all, etc. And basically just not sleeping haha. I'm sure it's going to be a great day though, I'm SO excited to meet everyone!

Also in the past week, as you can tell from the above photo; I've been playing with makeup again.

I've been mixing up shades from my Morphe 35 Multi-colour Palette and using my GOSH gold metallic eyeshadow stick. I thought I might as well embrace feeling Summery before it's totally gone and Autumn is here. Although I can't lie I'm TOTES excited for that. But yeah I'm feelin' this look. I feel like the colour clash with my hair works well, but maybe that's just because I love anything bright. What do you guys think?

Gary and I have started watching Stranger Things this week, finally. WOO. We haven't finished it yet (well, at the time of writing this we have two more episodes to go) but my god, it's amazing! Such eighties feelz. Seriously I felt all nostalgic and wistful watching each episode. I kind of wanna do a painting based on it... we'll see.

I was also sent the prettiest necklace from an exclusive selection of jewellery from Happiness Boutique* designed in Berlin. I chose this one because I always feel really connected to arrow designs. I feel like life is about making your own path, and going your own way; so this necklace represents that for me. It's a beautiful copper design too - YAY.

I've been working on lots of new designs for my Etsy this week too, which has been fun. Including my new kitty stickers that I've been meaning to do for ages!

I plan on doing some more cute garlands next week, penguin stickers, fox stickers, doughnut stickers & more. I always seem to have a million things to do!

Blog wise, I want to take a second to thank everyone who left a lovely comment on my insecurities post because it was amazing to see such a positive reaction. To be honest I got a bit emotional reading them back, and I didn't expect that at all! So thank you so much. Especially after such a weird reaction to the Bloggers Blog Awards Shortlist. As some of you may know, I was amazingly lucky enough to be shortlisted for three awards. I was extremely happy about this at first, and in total awe. But then there seemed to be a total backlash on Twitter and it was extremely upsetting. I have no problem in telling you guys it fucking ruined me for a good two days, I was so so so down.

Okay, so remember this post I wrote about a month ago? It was basically me fuming that people slagged Hayley off in a Facebook group, for not doing their category in the Blog Awards. I thought it was disgusting that they completely dissed her, made her feel awful - all because they didn't have a category in an awards that she 100% runs alone. I explained why it is SO hard for her to represent every category. But these people were absolute bastards to her anyway. So you know what I did? I tweeted and said they'd acted like CUNTS. Sorry guys, naughty word. But also... NOT sorry because they fucking were. It was low, cruel, nasty and pathetic.

Anyway, this Wednesday when the shortlist was announced, people came for me. Ohh.. they came for me. Ha. Apparently I 'shouldn't be allowed to be up for a Social Media award if I call all parent bloggers cunts' - WOW. Firstly, WRONG. I didn't care what category they were moaning about, It wasn't about that. I follow lots of parent bloggers, family themed blogs and more. So don't fucking make out you're all high and mighty and I'm this evil child-hating bastard. Screw you. I called you a cunt, because you acted like a cunt.

So yeah, there was this total drama on Twitter because this group of cunts started telling people I was hating on parent bloggers for nothing. Fuck that. If you don't like swearing, that's totally fair enough - believe me I don't blame you at all. But you wouldn't be following me then, because everyone knows I'm prone to the odd swear..

So my only crime was sticking up for someone who did NOT deserve it.

But yeah, seeing a lie about me going around, and others believing it was upsetting.

But today? Today I'm like, fuck it. I work so hard on my blog, my work, my social media, trying to do all I can 24/7 - so yeah. I'm gonna celebrate! I was shortlisted for three awards, YAS QUEEN! So guys, if you fancy voting for me for Best Lifestyle Blog or Best Social Media - I'd love it, and you can do so here. But please don't vote for me for Best Blogging Pro. Firstly, I don't know how the hell I'm on that list. Secondly, I think Corinne (Skinnedcartree) deserves it more than anyone! So vote for her :)
