I'm guilty of telling a fib or two in my life every now and again, I'll admit. Sometimes I'll tell Mum I love her new dress, even if it's a questionable shade of mustard, because I know she loves it. Sometimes I'll tell Gary that I didn't buy yet another pair of shoes, 'They were sent to me! For the blog!', while hiding a receipt here and there (it's fine, it's fine..). And sometimes I'll tell a little white lie about how many calories I've indulged in on a Friday night.
However, no little fibs are needed to tell you guys how excited I was to try out Little Known Box! LKB as I'm going to call it, a brand new luxury beauty box subscription; brought to you monthly through your post full of awesome goodies.
I'm always keen to try new things, and when these new things are handpicked for me and sent right to my door; well I get pretty damn excited actually.
I got to receive July's box which featured a bunch of beauty products I'd never tried before.
So July's box; like every other month, is £14.95 with postage. I got eight products inside and I tallied them up out of curiosity, and they were well over £50 in total! That's pretty damn good. They also offer gift subscriptions and one off special boxes too, which means they're pretty much rocking the subscription box game, even though they're fairly new!
In this box I received;
2 HJ Manicure nail polishes in shades that are perfect for Summer! I loved the quality and size of them. I think the pink is my favourite, is that super obvious of me?
Balance Me Radiance Face Mask which cleanses, exfoliates and brightens the skin. I tried this during a particularly clammy week in July, and it felt SO GOOD. I felt like my skin had been totally refreshed and rejuvenated.
Odylique Natural Black Mascara which I loved! This has deep conditioning plant extracts and felt super soft applying. I felt like I was nourishing my lashes rather than drying them out (which it can sometimes feel like with mascara).
SoapNSkin Body Butter - This little pot of joy was a beaut to use each morning, thanks to the hints of lavender and lime. It sank into my skin moisturising it well, without feeling greasy. I love the handy little travel size too, which means it's the perfect handbag companion.
Zerreau Apple Towel Off Shampoo - This is described as a middle man between washing, and dry shampoo - so this totally caught my curiosity. I found it worked really well, and got rid of any oil in my hair; making me feel all shiny and new again when I needed a quick fix!
Organic Argan Oil & Simply Argan Arbre D'or Eau De Parfum - These two samples were such a lovely welcome treat to an already awesome box! Argan oil is especially always welcome in my house, as my coloured locks need all the help they can get!
Overall I thought this was a pretty nifty little box, and was really impressed with it! I think this is the first beauty box were I absolutely loved EVERY product too! YAY. Sometimes it can be hit and miss, and that's fine because it's expected. But this one seemed to really work for me, and I think it's definitely worth the money.
What do you guys think? Would you give 'em a go? :)
