DIY: Rainbow Nails

I'm so proud of my new nails! As many of you already know, I'm not the best when doing something that requires patience and a steady hand; as you can see from some slight smudges shown in the photographs. But I really did truly try this weekend to create something extra special for the week ahead. I've broken this down into a few steps for you guys, and trust me; if I can do this, you can too!
You will need; 4 Colourful shades of nail varnish. 1 White nail varnish. 1 Top coat nail varnish. 1 Roll of washi tape. 1 Toothpick/or White nail pen


1. Select the colours you would like to use to make up your rainbow. 2. Start by using the washi tape to cover each nail, leaving only one 'stripe' of nail still visible. 3. Fill in this stripe with one of your chosen colours. 4. Wait for this to dry, then remove the tape. 5. Reapply more washi tape, this time leaving another stripe of nail visible. 6. Carefully apply another stripe of a different colour. 7. Repeat until nails are completely filled with colours and dry, then apply the top coat to seal. 8. Use a nail art pen or a toothpick to draw on your clouds at the base of your nail. 9. Wait to dry, and then apply another top coat. 10. Tidy up all edges, and viola! You have a set of beautiful rainbow nails :]

Halloween Nails

Just a quick one to show how simple Halloween nails could be done in five minutes :) Simply get some orange and black nail polish, and use a toothpick, a sewing needle, anything sharp and small to draw on your pumpkin faces. If you have an actual nail art pen, go you, you win at life. I however do not because they never work right for me.

DIY: Cute Nails Made Easy

We all like to jazz up our nails every now and again don't we? No? Okay this post isn't for you sorry! Personally I change my nails every few days and I never have them bare. I'm impatient mind, so they're never in pristine condition. I tend to just slap some polish on and go, and half the time I smudge it before it's even dry.
So this means although I have a Pinterest board full of gorgeous nail DIY's, I'm usually too clumsy or impatient to be able to do any of them. So I made my own! 
This little DIY is so easy, even I can do it!

Lovely! Easy peasy right? I challenge you to mess this up.

The only tip I will offer is be patient and make sure your nails are 100% dry before putting on or removing the tape. Or it will smudge and ruin your work within seconds.

What do you think lovelies? I personally love the white/pastel coloured attempts I did. But I wanted to show how you could do it with darker colours and look more 'polished' than playful if that's your thing.

Nailed it.

A little update for you guys on how my nails are looking this week :) I wanted a little bit of glitz and glitter, so I teamed a few varnishes together. In order of sequence as shown below, we have Rimmel London '503 - Mind the Gap, Victoria', then Miss Sporty Base and Top Coat, a Claires Accessories purple glitter; without a name sorry! And finally Barry M '264 - Pink Iridescent'.

Originally I was only going to wear the blue Rimmel shade with a top coat over, but then thought 'Screw it!' I want GLITTER. So I added the other two glitter varnishes over the top. Do you like it?

I must apologise for my stubby fingers, short nails and messy application of the nail polishes! It was such a quick job and I'm a clumsy, messy girl :) But this kinda pretties it up eh?

I gotta say, I'm happy with it! I love a little glitz to the everyday.

Easter has come early

Well, certainly my nails think so.

 I found these cute stick on nails at Primark for only £1.

Now I know they're cheap and probably wont last long, but they're so damn cute!

I love anything Kawaii or girly too so I fell in love with them.

There's no tutorial needed for these guys, just stick and go. They come with lots of spare ones too just in case you're as clumsy as me and break your nails a lot.

I love seeing other people's nails whether they are simple and cute or crazy full on nail art :)
