Get To Know Me; The A - Z Of Jemma

Why not eh? Let's get to know the top tit behind this blog.

A - Alcohol - I like it, a lot. You can often find me drunk snapping/blogging/youtubing. It's a thing.

B - Best friend. Her name is Charlie, she's a little bit Chinese, a lot scouse. She cried when she 'came out' to me, and I met her at college. She is a big personality and I adore her.

C - Colourful hair. I don't tend to stick with natural colours, so blue, green, purple, pinks, etc are all okay with me. It changes often too.

Also Criminal Minds is one of my fave tv shows ever.

So today is my 28th birthday, eek.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, I LOVE birthdays, but getting older is for reals scary! At 28 I'm supposed to be a proper grown up aren't I? I certainly don't feel that way. I'm still scared of the dark, I spend all day watching cartoons, I can't cook and I have no idea how taxes work really. I know we're all in charge of our own lives, and everyone defines 'grown up' in a different way I suppose, but I think I just always believed as a kid that at 28, I would have all the answers. Oh man, I have exactly none of the answers.
I thought I'd be married, have a house, have kids by now and be well into a deeply successful career. I actually just laughed out loud at the absurdity of all that. But the thing is, I'm extremely happy with my life even though it's very different than I thought it'd be at this age.
I feel like I've learned a lot, and I've experienced some amazing things so far. So to mark today's special day; I wanted to share 28 things with you guys. 28 Things I've learned, loved, done, seen or experienced. Think of it almost like a random list of facts about me.

Dorky. Insecure. Loud. Impatient.
All words which accurately describe me. However sometimes I really feel like just saying words at you guys like that doesn't get across who I am or what Im really like, away from this blog. I'm always drawn to the truth in people, anything that's truly relatable. I love people who put it all out there and share things with others even if they look stupid. Especially within the blogging community where we're trying to be perfect and professional so much of the time - it's really refreshing when people go against the grain.
So here's a proper introduction to Jemma. Hello. I'll try to not ramble too much, but that sort of happens in real life, so I'm never surprised when it happens here on the blog.
I'm 27 years old - I'll be 28 in April. I hope that you're all shocked. I hope the comments section gets filled with 'Oh wow Jemma you seem much younger' type of statements, haha. If not... I'll know I've been kidding myself. I was born and raised in Liverpool, and live here still (though I lived in Bolton for a brief and horrible stint) with my boyfriend (he's from Plymouth) and our cat, Luna.
I try to put my best self on this blog, and only show the fun/exciting/happy parts, just because I get the most enjoyment out of it that way I guess. But I'd also love you guys to know the real shitty things about me, because it's only fair.

Hello lovelies! Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend and your first week of June has been a great one. I wanted to do a little bit of a 'Get to know me' type post, but had no idea where to start; so I took to Twitter this week and asked you lot! I was willing to answer anything personal, blogging, boring or random; and you threw 'em at me with gusto! :) So if you have any interest in getting to know me a little further, keep reading...

Blogging-
What's your favourite ever of your posts?
Ooh! Just one?! Oh god. There are so many personal and important ones, but I'll just go with this one. It's fun, cute, creative and a DIY which is my fave type of post!
What are your personal favourite methods/platforms/tips for gaining and keeping a loyal blog following? Twitter is by far my biggest source of new followers, so I'd recommend being very active on there. Take part in the many weekly blogger chats available, and talk to lots of other bloggers. As for keeping a following? No idea! Just be honest, friendly and thoughtful :)
What do you find toughest about blogging? The amount of work needed to make your blog grow can be hard, but I guess that's only if you care about it growing; which I do. I don't mind putting the work in though, because it makes me so happy.
What is your blogging set up? I work from my laptop and carry that all around the flat with me haha. Whether I'm slobbing on the couch, in bed, or working away at my desk. I have my camera always charged and ready (Canon Rebel 550D) and I like to use my white desk as a background most of the time. I have a bunch of post it notes, spreadsheets and notebooks all for my blogging needs too.

Life-
If you could re-live a memory as many times as you wanted at the touch of a button, what memory would you choose? This is so incredibly hard. Something with my Dad, but which memory?! I guess... when we took a big family holiday to Cyprus when I was a teenager, because the whole family was there and he was so happy. I'd give anything for one last hug.
How can I make my wardrobe more colourful without looking like I've been slapped by a rainbow? Haha! Start with accessories, plenty of 'em! Then work in some prints in your wardrobe. Even if you aren't wanting lots of obvious bright colours, you can find beautiful pops of colour from clothing with a pretty print on it! :) I always funk up even boring outfits with cute accessories, shoes, bags!
How do you get your hair so vibrant? Haha, I bleach it using Jerome Russell Bleaching kits, then wait until it goes orangey/blonde. Then I dye it with Directions 'Flamingo Pink' :) I can't really recommend a shampoo or conditioner right now for vibrancy, but the Lee Stafford collection for hair growth is amazing!
Have you ever read a book/seen a film that changed how you see things in life? Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. It both makes me fall in love with it and breaks my heart everytime I watch it. It made me realise how perfectly precious memories/relationships are and how fragile everything is. It's so amazing; I definitely recommend you go watch it.
Something about you most people don't know? I have Trypophobia, I'm obsessed with serial killers, I spoke French in my Spanish GCSE exam and met my boyfriend through Tumblr.
What are your goals for 2015? You can find a lot of them here, but mostly just to be happy and stay inspired.
Your favourite thing about yourself? My creativity. It makes me feel good.

Random-
Favourite flavour of ice cream? Mint chocolate chip or Cookie Dough.
Would you rather have feet for hands or hands for feet? Hands for feet! Imagine how much I'd get done then, haha.
If you could be any celebrity for one day, who would you be? Kristen Stewart, I freakin' love her. I both want to be her and kiss her.
If you could invite 4 famous people to a dinner party, dead or alive, who would it be and why? Kristen Stewart, Eminem, Caitlin Moran, Brody Dalle. Oh my jesus christ what a dinner party it would be!
What super power would you have and what would you do with it!? Easy; Invisibility! Oh my lord I would steal from big evil businesses and give to the poor, like a modern Robin Hood. Also I am counted in that group of poor, haha. Also I would play tricks on people I don't like, mwhaha. Yes I know I sound about 7 years old right now. I would also sneak into gigs and events I really wanna go to!

Would you rather speak any language or speak to animals? Speak to animals, of course! Luna and I would have some dead good chats ;)

..With that in mind, coupled with the fact that it's my birthday this week (Thursday!), I decided this would be an easy, getting to know me post. I might even learn a little more about myself too. I've taken questions from a bunch of posts I've been tagged in recently to answer, and I'm doing them all at once here. Feel free to answer them yourself. For now sit back, relax, and let's delve into my curious mind...

1. What song do you think best describes you? Start with a hard one or what.. Umm. 'All Of This' by Blink 182 & Robert Smith has always been one of my favourite songs and I feel like I can relate to a lot. But describes me? Who knows... Baby Got Back???!
2. If you could choose any celeb to be a blogger, who would you choose and why? Kristen Stewart, because I admire her so much and she's so introverted. I love that about her, but it'd be lovely to read her words and get into her head a little.
3. What is your favourite word? Dude.
4. Did you ever have an imaginary friend? Nope. I'd say I was far too imaginative for that junk.
5. What TV series would you recommend to someone new? Dexter. It's always been one of my favourite shows of all time, and it's just beautiful and haunting ...and addictive.
6. What is your biggest regret in life? Allowing someone else to make me feel inferior. It happened only once, and almost ruined me. Never again.
7. If you could work with a particular brand, who would it be and why? I'd love to work with Benefit, Jeffree Star, Little Moose, Oliver Bonas, or just anyone fun/colourful/interesting :)
8. Do you believe in ghosts? Umm.. no. I don't think so.
9. What is your favourite type of weather? I like rainy days actually.
10. Would you rather be a bear or a wolf? A wolf for sure.
11. What’s your favorite way to spend your free time when you’re alone? Listening to music, reading crime thrillers or blogging. All of these while browsing Twitter...
12. What’s your favorite movie? Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind. Always. But these are good too.
13. Did you like School/College/University? School was good enough, I was pretty happy. College was awesome, best time of my life, University was awful.
14. Biggest secret? Things I'd never share with anyone!
15. How many times have you been in love? Twice.. Maybe three times. I think more likely three. It's hard to tell... Confusing.
16. The most important qualities in a person? Kindness, Understanding, Humour.
17. Is there anything you wish you could tell someone? I'm so proud of you.
18. Google your star sign & paste what it says about you? 'Aries tend to venture out into the world and leave impressions on others that they are exciting, vibrant and talkative. Aries tend to live adventurous lives and like to be the center of attention. Sometimes an Aries woman’s sense of humour will be a little too sharp for others around her and she will be viewed as being “bitch” or sarcastic.'
19. Is it right? Haha, I do think I'm very talkative and upbeat, and I like adventure! But I don't think I'm overly sarcastic or sharp with my humour.. I hope!
20. How do you feel right now? Relaxed, and looking forward to the end of the week.
