I love getting post at the best of times, but when it's pretty, pink, and full of goodies; well you better believe I'm a teeny bit excited! I almost tore the hand off my poor postman in my eagerness.
Yes, that's right. I have this month's Glossybox*, and I'm so excited!
I have to say even though the packaging really shouldn't matter, it just does doesn't it? I think Glossybox have gotten it perfectly, with a sleek and very feminine look - it felt so special arriving in the post.
July's box was definitely focused around a Summery feel, the theme officially called 'On The Beach' - and I was thankful to get five Summer beauty essentials through my door.
In this month's box was;
Blank Canvas Cosmetics F20 Buffer Brush,
Collection Super Size Fat Lash Mascara,
Hairon De-Tangling Brush,
UTAN & Tone Nourishing Night Creme,
Soft and Gentle Hair Minimise Antiperspirant Deodorant.
I found the Blank Canvas Buffer Brush (worth £12.49) to be absolutely gorgeous! Both in first impression and in use. It applied my makeup beautifully and felt super soft, which means I'd love to try more of their range now!
Next up we have the Collection Fat Lash Mascara (worth £2.99). I loved the wand, the application, and it kept my curled lashes looking fluttery all day. I do unfortunately have really short eyelashes, and no mascara usually helps them look lengthened; and this was no exception. It's the reason I'll probably never pay out for an expensive mascara, when a bargain one has the same effect for me. I loved this product, but it's fair to say I wasn't expecting miracles anyway!
Moving on, I then tried the Hairon De-Tangling Brush (worth £6.99) - and this was a product I absolutely adored! It's size is perfect for popping in my handbag, and it brushes through my hair easily, despite any tangles; leaving it super soft and smooth.
I thought the full size Soft and Gentle deodorant (worth £2.99) was a great addition to the box, perfect for Summer. I'm already a fan of the brand so I knew I'd be happy with this product.
The only product I haven't tried, is the UTAN & Tone Nourishing Night Creme (worth £10.50). I don't use any tanning products at all, so I have given this to a friend who I know will appreciate this a lot more than me!
Overall I was pretty happy with my first impressions of Glossybox, and thought it was great value for money! The box is £10 plus P&P, and the products were easily worth over £35 which was amazing! I also found it really nice to have a monthly surprise of beauty products delivered as a special treat, so I'll definitely be getting next month's box! (Let me know if you'd like to see a post about August's box too!).
